Damjan Simonović

MEE

Damjan Simonović, MEE, graduated in 2019 from the university program at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology in Osijek, specializing in Industrial Electrical Power Engineering. During his education, he acquired solid theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of electrical power systems, design, and automation.

Since 2020, he has been employed as a designer and supervisory engineer, actively participating in several dozen projects in civil engineering and construction. His work encompasses all phases of the development of electrical projects – from creating conceptual solutions and the conceptual project, through the main and execution project, to the preparation of cost estimates and the as-built project. He also conducts professional supervision over the execution of electrical installations.

He shows a high level of technical precision, responsibility, and organization in his work, with a strong sense of quality cooperation with investors, contractors, and other participants in construction. In 2022, he became a licensed electrical engineer and a member of the Croatian Chamber of Electrical Engineers (CCoEE).

In daily work, he uses a range of professional tools and software packages for the design and calculation of electrical installations. He actively uses programs such as AutoCAD, Dialux, Relux, DDScad, Power Path, PV*SOL, DEHNsupport Toolbox, and MS Office. He particularly stands out due to possessing a certificate of completed professional training for working in the BIM software package DDScad, which confirms advanced knowledge in modeling electrical installations in a BIM environment, creating technical documentation, and integrating with other construction disciplines following modern design practices.

  • Power Path is used for the precise design of electrical energy lines and routes, including mapping, dimensioning, preparation of technical reports, and performing automatic calculations, with support for CAD/BIM formats.
  • PV*SOL is used for designing and optimizing photovoltaic systems, including integration with devices, battery systems, and electric vehicles, with the ability for 3D visualization and shading analysis, allowing for precise planning and assessment of energy production.
  • The DEHNsupport Toolbox software package is used for professional planning and implementation of lightning and surge protection systems.
  • Possesses knowledge and experience in designing all types of electrical energy systems for electrified railway infrastructure.
  • Actively uses English in speech and writing.
Guided by expertise, dedication, and a positive approach, he continuously improves his knowledge and follows the development of technology,
with the aim of providing quality and reliable solutions in electrical power projects.
